Why as for directions if you aren’t going to follow them?

I can’t be the only one right? I get up some days feeling lost, my prayer sounds like “God, idk, I feel lost I need some direction, some guidance, something!”. And one day when I was Journaling, I wrote “How can you ask God for directions when you still haven’t done the things He had directed you to do last year, last month, last week, and even today?

You See it’s not that God isn’t giving you direction or guidance, a lot of the time it’s us that aren’t listening, instead we go left when God said right, and it is not until we GO BACK, and make that right God told us to make, will we start making progress. We’re asking God for guidance and directions and a lot of us aren’t even following and practicing basic commandments, help it make sense.

Psalm 119:105
Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
Psalm 119:133
Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me.
Proverbs 8:33
Listen to my instruction and be wise; do not disregard it.

And the list goes on. What I’m saying is, next time before you pray asking for guidance ask yourself if you took the guidance that was given to you the last time you prayed.
So your prayer shouldn’t be “God what should I do” it should be “Okay God I did that, what’s the next step?”
